Can I cure my ADHD?

If you’re wondering this, I’m guessing you feel frustrated, weary, and maybe even sad or angry. It’s not easy finding your way in the world with a brain that works differently. I get it - I’ve been there. And that’s just it:

Your brain works differently. It isn’t broken, or sick, or bad, or wrong. It’s different, on a neurological level.

An brain with ADHD consumes and processes information in a way that neurotypical brains don’t. You take in so much information so quickly that it can feel hard to slow down to the pace of the world happening around you. Waiting to hear someone finish what they’re saying might feel aggravating when you’ve mentally finished their sentence, responded, and moved on. Sitting still might be painful when your body just wants to move at a pace that matches how quickly your brain is moving. You might feel paralyzed by tasks that you know are simple and brief, but feel uninteresting and pointless. You may find yourself energized at odd hours to work on complex projects. Maybe you tend toward following impulses that aren’t always helpful. “Regular life” can feel like a monumental challenge.

While you can’t get rid of or “cure” ADHD, we can help you learn to work with their brain rather than against it.

We can work together to find ways to help you bridge the gap between your brain and the demands on your life, from installing smaller skills into your days to exploring how your life could look different.

You’re worth the effort it takes to understand yourself.
