inclusive therapy for
disordered eating
in person in DC or virtually in MD, VA, or DC
Your whole life, you’ve been told you have to look a certain way to be worthy and wanted.
It’s not about vanity - it’s about safety.
Or maybe your food and body issues have very little to do with how you look.
Maybe for you, in moments of overwhelm, you’ve instinctively discovered that you can find some relief from your feelings by restricting, purging, binging, or exercise. You don’t know how you’d ever cope otherwise!
Come home to your body
We want to see you come home to your body and yourself.
Can you even imagine that?
⭐️ What would it be like to finally have permission to exist in your body exactly as it is?
⭐️ What if you were able to face your emotions without feeling like you’re going to crumble?
⭐️ What would it feel like to gather with loved ones around a meal and actually be fully present?
⭐️ It may sound impossible, but we’ve seen it happen, and we believe that, with the right support, it can happen for you, too!
You’ve tried everything…
Except this.
This is a radical re-imagining of how free we can be in our bodies, and how deeply we can trust our bodies, no matter their shape, size, color, ability, gender, sexuality, or any other trait.
Your body is your home, your faithful companion. And every step of the way, through each of your worst days, your body has done it’s 100% best for you, every single minute.
Are we the right fit for you?
We honor the ways you’ve survived and coped in the past. No judgment.
We hold onto hope for healing, even when you can’t access it for yourself.
We draw from research-backed approaches like IFS, EMDR, & ACT.
We keep an eye on the social and cultural systems impacting you.
We recognize that everyone experiences traumas of some kind, and we’re ready to support you in processing those experiences.
We have all the necessary letters after our names and formal qualifications - we’ve done the work to educate and equip ourselves!
We have years of experience. You’re not a guinea pig here.
In addition to the formal stuff, we also bring lived expertise, including eating disorder recovery!
Our founder, Heather Clark, is also a Certified Body Trust® Provider, which means she leads Every Body with an inclusive, liberation-oriented lens.
